Animal welfare

Animal welfare is of paramount importance hence therefore, adhere strictly to the five animal freedoms i.e.
  • Freedom from Hunger and Thirst - by ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour. Our dogs feed only on the best, premium and high-quality feeds and are always provided with clean drinking water.
  • Freedom from Discomfort - by providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area. - our dogs are transported in custom made vehicles that are fit for purpose to ensure safe and secure travel
  • Freedom from Pain, Injury or Disease - by prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment. Eddy’s Kennel is privileged to have an Inhouse Veterinary Doctor who round the clock ensures the well being of our K9 and responds to any medical emergency should need arise.
  • Freedom to Express Normal Behaviour - by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal's own kind. Our kennels and K9 holding facilities are ideal for the dogs and are round the clock manned by the kennel support staff who ensure the safety and comfort of the dogs.
  • Freedom from Fear and Distress - by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering.
